Dreamweaver: How do I insert a picture?

  1. On the top toolbar click Insert> Image.
  2. Browse for the image on your computer and double click. It will ask you if you want to copy this to your root folder. Always click YES.
  3. Then it will have you save it. Put it in your images folder if you have created one. Putting images in an image folder later will cause your links to break so it is best to be organized from the beginning.
  4. Next you will get a box that will allow you to enter Alternate text which is what will show up when you hover over the picture. This also helps your website to be ADA compliant.
