# How do I create an anonymously graded quiz using New Quizzes?

When creating a New Quiz, you can choose to set up an quiz with anonymous grading. Selecting the anonymous grading option hides student names from graders when they view assignment submissions in SpeedGrader.

**Notes:**

<div id="bkmrk-anonymous-grading-is"><div>- Anonymous Grading is currently a course feature option. To enable this feature, learn how to manage feature options in the [course features lesson](https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-manage-feature-options-for-a-course/ta-p/710). If the Anonymous Grading option is not available for your course, your institution admin has not enabled the Anonymous Grading [account feature option](https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Resource-Documents/Canvas-Feature-Option-Summary/ta-p/531316).
- You or an admin can enable or disable the anonymous grading option at any time. Any edits made to the assignment will be tracked, and auditing tools will be added to help with accountability in a future release.
- Posting grades for an anonymous New Quizzes will remove anonymity from the quiz.

## Add Quiz

### Select Quiz Engine

To select New Quizzes, click the **New Quizzes** option \[1\].

Then click the **Submit** button \[2\].

## Select Anonymous Grading

**Note:** Once changes are saved you cannot remove anonymous grading.

## Save Assignment

To save your quiz details, click the **Save** button \[2\]. To save and publish your quiz, click the **Save &amp; Publish** button \[3\].

To open the New Quizzes build page and add questions and content to your quiz, click the **Build** button \[4\].

**Note:** Once changes are saved you cannot remove anonymous grading.
