# How do I submit a Lucid document for a Lucid assignment?

If your instructor has created a Lucid assignment, you can upload a Lucid Education Suite document as a submission. Lucid assignments accept Lucidchart and Lucidspark documents. [Lucidchart](https://help.lucid.co/hc/en-us/articles/11970952773652-Welcome-to-Lucidchart) is an intelligent diagramming application that allows you to visualize complex ideas, systems, and processes. [Lucidspark](https://help.lucid.co/hc/en-us/articles/11973407023636-Welcome-to-Lucidspark) is a virtual whiteboard application that enables teams to ideate, design, and build better ideas.

With your Canvas account, you get free full access to the Lucid Education Suite for visual collaboration. Before accessing Lucid from within Canvas, you must [set up and connect your free account](https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Basics-Guide/How-do-I-set-up-the-Lucid-Education-Suite-in-my-course/ta-p/618243).
