<div id="bkmrk-qualifications-for-r-0"><div><div><div>**Qualifications for Receiving Scholarship:**- Must be a full-time student majoring in the field of Education working towards a teaching degree.
- Undergraduate or graduate student.
- Candidate should be a single parent.
- Financial need.
- Applicant should show a desire to be an educator who will make a difference in students’ lives.
- Applicant should submit a short essay demonstrating how they will benefit from this scholarship.
- Recipient will write a personal letter about what it meant to them to receive the scholarship. The letter will be sent to the children of Judge Robert Dudley.

- Additional consideration for students pursuing degree in Special Education (not a mandatory requirement)
- Must demonstrate need for financial assistance
- Scholarship may be renewed, provided award criteria are maintained

<div id="bkmrk-amount-and-term-of-a"><div><div>**Amount and Term of Award:** </div><div>Amount of the award depends on earnings of the endowment. The number of recipients may be increased based on the balance.</div></div></div>**Qualifications for Receiving Scholarship:**

<div id="bkmrk-full-time-incoming-f">- Full-time incoming freshman from Randolph County.
- First preference is a student majoring in the College of Education, preferably elementary education with an interest in teaching the value of nutrition &amp; fitness.
- Second preference may be a student majoring in physical education.
- If there are no applicants from Randolph County, next preference is Sharp &amp; Lawrence Counties, &amp; then other counties may be considered.
- If there are no applicants from Randolph, Sharp, or Lawrence Counties majoring in Education, or no applicants at all that qualify, preference is that ASU use its judgment in making awards.

- Minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
- Preference given to students from Lawrence, Greene, and Craighead Counties.
- Financial aid is a major factor.
