How to Reset Your Oracle Password for Argos or RPTS (SQL)
Students, faculty, and staff needing to reset their Oracle password for Argos or RPTS (SQL) will need to follow the steps below.
1. Go to Oracle password reset.
2. Click Change Password
If prompted, sign in using your full A-State email address and current password.
3. Enter your current A-State password, then type and confirm your new password.
Make sure your new password meets A-State requirements:

At least eight characters long

At least one number
-
At least one lowercase letter
-
At least one uppercase letter
-
Cannot start with a number
-
Cannot include your name or username
-
Cannot be the same as a previous password
4. Click Submit
Once submitted, the new password will sync with your Oracle account (used by Argos and RPTS).
5. Wait 10–15 minutes
This allows time for the password to sync across systems.
If your account is locked, you must first contact its_dba@astate.edu to have it unlocked before you can reset the password.
You must be connected to A-State's network on-campus or by connecting through VPN to be able to use this tool.
