Committee Overview

The International Students and Scholars Committee addresses concerns for international students, scholars, and visiting faculty.

• Student Affairs issues are forwarded to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, with copies to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Research.

• Academic issues (admission and retention standards, visiting faculty, postdoctoral scholars) are forwarded to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Research, with copies to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

Committee members should have experience with or interest in non-U.S. cultures/students. The committee elects a chair at the beginning of each academic year. The Associate Dean for Enrollment Management, Director of International Programs, and Assistant to the Chancellor for Diversity Initiatives serve as ex-officio, nonvoting members.
