# About Licensure

### First-Time Arkansas Teaching License

<p class="callout danger">This applies to graduates of the following **BSE** and **MAT** Education programs: Elementary, Middle-Level, Business, Art, Music, Agriculture, English, Mathematics, Physical Education, Social Studies, World Languages, and Special Education.</p>

After graduating and completing all other requirements, you may apply for first-time licensure.

### Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Provisional License

<p class="callout danger">Students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Teaching program may qualify for a provisional license provided that certain requirements are met.</p>

### School Counseling First-Time License

<p class="callout danger">This applies to all School Counseling graduates who are seeking a first-time license in <span style="text-decoration: underline;">**ANY**</span> state.</p>

## Advanced Program Licensures

<p class="callout danger">This applies to graduates who are adding to a current license from the Reading/Dyslexia, Gifted &amp; Talented, Adult Education, School Counseling, Special Education, and Speech Language Pathology programs.</p>
