Checking out Technology

Equipment check-outs begin on the Monday after Move-In; the specific date will change each semester. This applies to commuter students as well.

To be eligible for equipment check-out, a student must:

• Be registered with Access and Accommodation Services
• Live on campus OR take on-campus classes

Due to limited resources, equipment checkout is not currently available to online students.

To check out a device, students can either stop by the AAS office (Student Union, 2181) or make an appointment via Penji. Devices will be reserved for students who make an appointment. If the item requested is unavailable, the student will be notified before their appointment.

Equipment can be borrowed for up to an entire semester, but must be returned by the due date set at checkout. Most often, this is the Thursday of finals week.

Students who check out a device in the fall semester will have one week at the beginning of the spring semester to reclaim the same device. After the first week is over, those devices will be placed back into first-come, first-served.
