Professional Development Events

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) offers a variety of professional development opportunities throughout the year. These include two major annual events—Summer Institute and Learn@State—as well as numerous one-off workshops, webinars, and training sessions designed to support innovative teaching practices.

Major Annual Events

Summer Institute

The A-State Faculty Center Summer Institute sessions are designed to inspire faculty to engage today’s learners in a 21st-century mobile learning environment.  The Faculty Center hosts sessions during the summer to provide faculty with a variety of professional development opportunities to inspire and cultivate innovative teaching. These summer sessions are the perfect time to update your knowledge of new techniques and technologies to improve your professional teaching method. Another benefit of participating in the summer institute is the opportunity to develop collaborative relationships with faculty from across campus.  When faculty work together in a summer institute, they inspire each other by sharing ideas and encouraging feedback.
