The Department of Educational Leadership, Curriculum, and Special EducationCurriculum provides graduate programs for the preparation of school administrators, curriculum specialists, gifted and talented educators, and special educators, as well as for the leadership and coordination of the graduate degree program in higher education administration.
Focusing on Teacher Excellence
Teaching excellence is the department's focus, and faculty performance is regularly evaluated. The department encourages and supports faculty involvement in providing professional services to educationally related systems and agencies, and it endorses using these involvements to enhance classroom experiences. The department stresses program contributions of a faculty active in the pursuit and dissemination of the results of educational research.
