HOW TO APPLY TO LIVE ON CAMPUS

LET'S GET STARTED!

Before applying to live on campus, students should be fully admitted to Arkansas State University.
Activate your A-State Password and set up your official A-State email account.
Log in to the Pack Portal with your A-State email address, password and Duo authenticator.
To make the $100 housing deposit, choose Banner9 Self Service Student to access your student profile page.
Select Payment or Billing.
Select the Deposits tab.
In the drop-down menu, click Residence Hall Deposit. This page will indicate the current term in which the payment is being made (Spring 2026), but the payment will be applied to the student's first semester in residence. (Please allow 24 hours for the payment to be reflected in your account.)
Once deposit is completed, return to the Pack Portal.
In the Campus Life tab, select Housing Portal to begin the housing application.
Click Housing Applications and follow the prompts to complete the application. (If you are applying to move onto campus during the Spring semester, select Academic Year.) Check out our step-by-step guide for assistance.
Browse potential roommates, and create a roommate group in the portal (optional).

Room selection for current students typically takes place in February, while room selection for incoming first-year students begins in April. Students will receive detailed information and instructions for the room selection process via their official A-State email address.

WHAT'S NEXT?

Once you've completed the housing deposit and application, we encourage you to explore our living communities and prepare for room selection. Here are a few tips:

Research your options! Each community has unique features to offer.
Talk with your future roommate(s) about their preferences.
Make a plan - have a backup if your first choice community isn't available.
Review our suggestions of what to bring to your new space.
Attend New Student Orientation in May/June.
Continue checking your email for information and instructions as Move-In Day approaches.

Meal plan selection will take place following room selection. Students will receive detailed information and instructions for the meal plan selection process via their official A-State email address.
