Official Class timings
Official Class Times for Fall and Spring
These proposed guidelines are designed to ensure appropriate usage of general assignment classrooms and promote fair distribution across campus departments. Any exceptions to these guidelines must be approved by Academic Affairs.
- Departments may schedule no more than 80% of their classes during the prime-time period of 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Any class with a start or end time within this period is considered a prime-time class.
- 80% of classes during prime time (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
- 10% of classes in the early morning (8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.)
- 10% of classes in the late afternoon/evening (3:00 p.m. until close)

Exceptions: Classes that meet once a week and start after 5:00 p.m., classes held on Saturdays, and classes offered during Summer/Interim sessions are exempt from this policy and do not require an exception.
