NSF Research Security Training Requirement

As you may be aware, NSF has issued an important notice requiring that all principal investigators complete research security training in alignment with the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 and National Security Presidential Memorandum-33. Effective Dec. 2, 2025, this training must be completed prior to proposal submission. Our office requires that you complete the necessary training outlined below before we begin the internal review of your next proposal.

Research and Technology Transfer continues to do its part to ensure compliance with federal agency requirements, and we have a solution in place so that you can continue to submit proposals.

At your earliest convenience, please navigate to your CITI Program account and begin the four-module Research Security Training basic course. Once you have completed all four modules with a passing score of 80% or higher, please send a copy of your certificate of completion to Direct for Research Development, Molly Alexander-Steele (malexandersteele@astate.edu) and to the Director for Compliance, Jenny Estes (jlestes@astate.edu).

We thank you in advance for your partnership and willingness to complete this training.
