Application for Transfer Students to the BSRS MRI Concentration
Thank you for your interest in Arkansas State University’s BSRS Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Program. Before you can apply for our BSRS MRI program on April 1st of each year, you will need to show proof of completing radiography program course work and either have taken or be currently enrolled in the following courses:
MRI Pre-Requisite Courses (minimum grade = C)
- BIOL 24003/24001 Anatomy & Physiology I Lecture and Lab
- HPMT 22003 Medical Terminology
These courses are REQUIRED before being accepted into our program. Please take note that you must also have at least a 2.75 GPA or higher to be considered for our program. A new cohort begins every June.
Our MRI program is 14 consecutive months, meaning you will attend in-person summer, fall, spring, and summer semesters.
The in-person courses offered in the first summer semester of the MRI program are available for registration without being officially in the MRI program. It is RECOMMENDED (but not required) that applicants either have taken or be currently enrolled in MRI Safety and Instrumentation I (RSMR 44703).
Our professional advisor Mrs. Rachael Post (rpost@astate.edu), 870-972-3587, can assist with scheduling your classes and answering any questions.
