COBRA

In the event of termination of employment or a qualifying event that ends dependent coverage, continuation of coverage may be elected through our COBRA provider, Optum.  Employees will receive notification directly from Optum upon benefit termination, including rates and information on how to enroll in COBRA Continuation benefits. 

Also, upon termination of coverage, at your request, we will issue a Certificate of Credible Coverage to present to future employers as proof of your coverage under this plan.


What is COBRA? 

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances. 


How do I manage/pay for my COBRA plan? 

COBRA payments will be paid directly to Optum using the member portal
