Short-Term Disability
ASU offers employees the ability to purchase short-term disability (STD) insurance. STD insurance provides you with income if you are unable to work due to a qualified illness or accident. UNUM became the provider for Short-Term Disability effective January 1, 2017. Employees who became disabled prior to 1/1/2017 should file their claim with Companion. Employees who became disabled on January 1 or later should file a claim with UNUM.
